Abstract
The paper discusses how all aspects of public service carry with them a certain amount of pressure. The law enforcement sector, however, has even more extensive stressors associated with the job duties. This paper addresses these unique stressors experienced by law enforcement officers and their effects on officers' performance. The paper describes methods of reducing or treating this stress and its negative effects. The paper provides a literature review and a survey of local law enforcement officers' own perceptions of how much personal stress they experience and how this stress affects their performance. The paper also includes the potential treatments and their benefits.

From the Paper
"This study attempts to address the ways in which personal events, from traumatic life changes like divorce or the death of a loved one to less acute pressures such as personal pessimism, family-related stress, financial pressures, or other negative influences can impact a law enforcement official's on-the-job performance. I will hypothesize that such negative aspects in an officer's personal life, even if they have no direct bearing on his or her job duties, as a job-related stressor, such as dealing with traumatic death of a colleague or an injury sustained in a confrontation with a suspect, could be interpreted to affect performance."

From the Paper
"The authors explain that there are many different strategies that can be used to integrate IT with the corporate strategy. However the initial step is always to identify the company's business objectives and existing corporate strategy. Therefore SISP is always based on the existing strategy. For instance, a basic tenant of Information Engineering is "if the business objectives do not change then the data the organization needs to use and the functions it needs to carry out will not change . . . therefore we can model the enterprise."' If no strategy is apparent, SIS planners are advised to create one ."

Abstract
This paper provides a research study that aims to illustrate to institutions of higher learning how much they stand to gain from investing in customer relationship management (CRM) systems. The paper's study provides evidence that CRM systems help to retain existing customers and recruit new ones as well as cut on costs, thereby improving institutions' profitability. The study includes a literature review and a discussion on the procedures, methods and samples used in the study, and the major limitations faced during the study. The study also points out that organizations need to be cautious in the acquisition of CRM systems, since it is possible to lose customers if the system does not work as expected.

From the Paper
"Customer Relationship Management (CRM) focuses on customer retention through development of sustainable relationships. Establishment of these relationships is based on customer satisfaction and an organisation's ability to sustain high standards that identify them from competitors. CRM is also concerned with attracting new customers. In order to ensure customer satisfaction, there is need to understand customer requirements through studies which is essentially the function of CRM. Evolution of information technology has given rise to CRM systems which make this function even easier so that long-term profitability resulting from customer loyalty and cost cutting is realized. The use of these systems has proved invaluable so that higher education institutions are highly being encouraged to make use of them in order to enhance their ability to retain existing customers and attract new customers."

Abstract
This study looks at the outsourcing of American jobs and how this is affecting the workers in America. There are many serious effects on the country, both positive and negative, that are related to the fact that many jobs are being outsourced, but there is also the issue of what the media wants individuals to believe about outsourcing and what it really accurate. Dispelling the myth that outsourcing is nothing but dangerous and problematic is also important. The study uses qualitative methods to show that outsourcing can be good for the economy and for the country, although not necessarily for the specific workers. Some may find better jobs, but many others do not, and therefore there are both pros and cons to the issue of outsourcing American jobs to other countries. The explains that why companies do this varies based on the company, but the main reasons appear to be profit margins and the ability to high more highly-skilled workers in America with the money that the company saves by sending the lower-skilled jobs overseas.

From the Paper
"The plight of the American worker is something that has been lamented throughout history for various reasons. Some of these reasons were really more significant than others, and some of the reasons were simply complaints that the workers felt that they could get away with. However, outsourcing is somewhat different than just a workers' complaint. The reason behind this is that outsourcing affects so many different people for various reasons. From the poorly-skilled immigrant that is desperate for a job to the corporate executive that loses his job because there is no longer anyone for him to supervise, outsourcing can affect almost everyone.
The issue of outsourcing is one that has been misunderstood for many years. There are individuals that study it and discuss how significant it is, and there are others that see it as some kind of made-up problem that is really not important enough to focus on. Both of these are valid points of view but, in recent years, it has generally been accepted that outsourcing is problematic for many American workers today, and that the study of it is important. Unlike standard business problems, such as issues with profits or employee morale, outsourcing is not something that can be 'cured' by making some adjustments to the business as it is understood in the traditional sense. It affects so many people that there is a real issue of what it is doing to the country as a whole."

Abstract
This study asks if an interactive school-based HIV/AIDS prevention/education program for multi-ethnic urban seventh and eighth graders can increase their knowledge about HIV/AIDS, promote positive attitudes towards people with AIDS and encourage the desire for changes in the high risk behavior. The paper states that this research is based on the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), introduced by Fishbein in 1967 and suggests that a person's attitude toward any object is a function of his or her belief about the object and the evaluative aspects of those beliefs. The author proposes that an HIV educational program intervention will be used with a design consisting of a pre-test and post-test evaluation of an educational intervention on HIV/AIDS prevention to seventh and eighth grade students.

Abstract
This paper explains that the purchasing power parity (PPP) hypothesis, which states that national price levels should be equal when expressed in a common currency, is one of the earliest and simplest models for exchange rate determination. The author compares the power purchasing parity between the US dollar and the Swedish Kronor using a variety of econometric approaches, which are describes in detail including formulas. The paper concludes that the PPP hypothesis holds in all nonlinear and cointegration estimations, but it does not hold in OLS and GARCH estimations.

"We observe that only returns of real and spot exchange rates are stationary in their levels, so they are I(0). All the other variables are I(1) and stationary in the first differences, except consumer price index of Sweden according to both tests, and producer price index of U.S.A. based on KPSS tests , while according to ADF test is I(1). Generally we reject the null hypothesis of stationarity, as the real exchange rates based on CPI and PPI are I(1), which means that the long-run PPP hypothesis doesn't hold for this set of currencies."

Abstract
This paper explains that, during the last decade, the incidence of student non-participation within the classroom, a source of constant frustration among teachers and faculty members, increased exponentially. The author points out that a large body of recent research focuses on the influence of student's thoughts, beliefs, and feelings about themselves and others related to their motivational practices and ability to participate more aggressively in the classroom; students often fail to participate because of inadequate feelings of self-worth, esteem, and achievement. The paper stresses that an important factor when assessing the behaviors of non-participatory student involves peer norms, defined as norms that are a composite of the perceptions held by the class members regarding what the other pupils feel is appropriate to do.

"This dissertation proposes use of a Likert type scale to as a means of gathering data related to the survey population. Students and teachers to be assessed will be identified as those most impacted by non-participatory behavior, which is intended to be realized during the Literature Review. For purposes of this study a broad analysis of educational practices over diverse classroom settings will be examined, as it would not be feasible to study every classroom environment within the United States. Assessment of which schools to survey will depend on accessibility, and information gained from the Literature Review which may indicate what institutions and classroom environments are best surveyed for purposes of this study. The size of the population surveyed will be approximately 200 people in 3 or more classroom environments, with an expected return of at minimum 5 to 25 surveys."

Abstract
This paper outlines the positive side to the drug, marijuana. The writer claims that marijuana should be legalized for a myriad or reasons: Healing benefits for the ill, positive impact on the clothing industry, the paper industry and a source of fuel.
From the Paper
"Marijuana would greatly benefit the trees of the world. "Interest in this plant as a producer of high-quality, sustainable fiber has resurfaced worldwide with concern about the paper industry's voracious appetite for trees" (SunHemp). By using the fibers of the plant paper can be produced. It seems as though many people do not realize this and it is very easily overlooked. Recycling paper could become a thing of the past."
