From the Paper:

"If teachers are not careful when assigning homework the effects can become detrimental to both students' learning and their attitudes towards education. Some of the main arguments against homework are as follows: Students don't get enough sleep; they are tired the next day of school, becoming stressed and anxious about their education (Caston & Penrose, 2003). Secondly, homework limits the time that students can spend with their family and friends, and the time parents do spend doing homework with their children can result in tension and fights. Asking children to sit down and do homework at an early age may be developmentally inappropriate and therefore counterproductive."

I graduated in 2003 from the University of Ottawa B.A. Honors Psychology program. It was a 4 year degree. Took courses in neuroscience, statistics, developmental psych, health psych, cognition, social psych, and many more. Our school is very strict about following APA guidelines, and making proper citations. My research was published in the Canadian Journal of Sleep (2002). I also took courses in English literature, theatre and music. I was accepted into the faculty of Education for the 2003-2004 year. I graduated and am now certified as a Primary/Junior teacher. Currently teaching gr 4 and 5 in Ottawa. I also have education papers from my year in Teacher's Ed. (I graduated Magna Cum Laude).
