This paper discusses various aspects of society which technology has altered. The digital revolution is covered, followed by medicinal advances and then agricultural advances. The effects of technology on population are also analyzed as well as the changes in the nature of warfare.
From the Paper:
"The twentieth century has unarguably seen the greatest technological revolutions in all of history. From agriculture to architecture, from transportation to warfare, breakthroughs have improved and increased peoples' lives, facilitated commerce and industry, and facilitated poverty and destruction. It is also true that an increasing level of mechanization is at least partially responsible for innovation in any one of these fields. Perplexingly, many advances that have improved the standard of living were derivatives of military technologies, which were first used to kill millions of people. A thorough investigation will reveal, however, while it has had both beneficial and destructive effects, the rapid increase in technological innovation has allowed for a greater standard of living overall."
